Samsung S7070 - S5150 (Diva Collection 2010)

The “Diva Collection 2010” by Samsung includes, for the time being, two handheld models, namely the Diva (S7070) and the Diva folder (S5150), whose main selling point is represented, quite obviously, by their very attractive external designs. After all, there’s nothing that says “elegance” and “style” like quilted back covers or diamond-shaped crystal buttons, like the one on the S7070.

The Diva and the Diva folder offer a range of functions specially developed for women mobile users, such as “Beauty Effect,” which provides enhanced photo retouching, and “Lomo Effect” that easily transforms ordinary snapshots into artistic photographs. The Diva Collection also offers “sensually designed fonts” to add to its feminine appeal, as well as other convenient features for women such as “wish list,” “etiquette mode” and security features like “fake call” and “emergency SMS.”

“Today’s modern women play many roles, from fashionista to heroine. The Samsung Diva Collection delivers mobile phones accentuating all aspects of the stylish, attention-getting woman to let the diva in everyone come to life,” said Younghee Lee, Vice President of Mobile Marketing, Samsung Electronics. “The Samsung Diva Collection 2010 is a part of Samsung’s long-term goal to meet the unquenched needs of one of our most important target group, women mobile users.”

Pricing details have not been provided just yet, but it’s very likely that we’ll find out more on this issue in January 2010, when the Diva phones become available across most of Europe and Asia.
