The forgers of the acclaimed Flip Video line-up of camcorders recently acquired by Cisco just announced their latest innovative product in the home video sharing area, namely the FlipShare TV. This is supposedly an industry's first, bringing users' whole Flip Video library of photos and videos directly into their living rooms and onto the TV screen, wire free, as well as letting users share video instantly with other FlipShare TV possessors."We're bringing back the home movie night," said Jonathan Kaplan, senior vice president and general manager, Cisco consumer products group. "There's now a simple and affordable solution to view and share photos and videos on any TV."
Just like the other Flip Video products, users will meet no hassle in setting up and using the FlipShare TV. Consumers only have to connect the small FlipShare TV base to the TV, via included composite cables or HDMI, as well as the FlipShare TV USB key to their PC or Mac and that's quite about it since the USB key and console are preconfigured to work wirelessly, in order for Flip videos to be instantly viewed on the TV, without needing a Wi-Fi home network. Even more versatility is added by the included wireless remote that lets users browse through their library and watch video, custom movies and photos, in full HD.
The FlipShare TV was developed to comply with FlipShare 5.0, namely the new software from Flip Video that lets users organize, edit, and share content online and through mobile phones.
